Our Purpose

The PB Smith Friends of Smith (FOS) is a non-profit organization, made up entirely of volunteers, that partners with school administration and staff to support the school community. Through fundraisers such as Boosterthon and the Fall Car Show and Festival, we provide financial support to aid in the purchase of educational programs, technology, and any other needs identified by school administration. Additionally, we strive to provide support to teachers and staff in their crucial task of educating our children. Our goal is to establish strong connections between families and the school, to enhance the educational experience of our children."

A little bit of what we do:

• Purchased new flat screen TVs for all classroom teachers and Encore teachers

• Fund educational programs such as Brain Pop and Accelerated Reader

• Support extracurricular clubs (Robotics, Ecology, Battle of the Books)

• Teacher Appreciation Week and other staff appreciation events

• Back to School Teacher Classroom Support

• Various community events (Annual Car Show and Fall Festival, Beach Blast)

• School-based events (Kona Ice Days, Halloween Celebration)

• Funding of special projects as requested by Mrs. Smith and her staff

• Kindergarten and new student t-shirts

• New staff t-shirts

• Kindergarten Orientation Social

• Support of end of year festivities
